Position Overview:
We are actively seeking a highly motivated and seasoned Assistant Manager of Operations to join our esteemed team at Homewood Suites in Rogers, Arkansas. The Assistant Manager of Operations will assume a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless and efficient functioning of the hotel, overseeing various departments and implementing strategies to elevate guest satisfaction and operational efficacy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the General Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational management of the hotel, ensuring strict adherence to brand standards, policies, and procedures.
- Supervise and coordinate departmental activities encompassing front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, and food and beverage, while upholding compliance with operational protocols.
- Execute staff training and development initiatives to maintain exceptional service standards and ensure alignment with hotel policies and procedures.
- Monitor key financial performance metrics, including revenue, expenses, and occupancy rates, and devise strategies to optimize profitability while adhering to financial guidelines.
- Provide oversight of reservation processes and check-in/check-out procedures to ensure accuracy and adherence to operational standards.
- Address guest inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, striving to resolve issues to the satisfaction of guests while upholding brand standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales and marketing, to formulate and execute strategies aimed at revenue growth and enhanced occupancy while adhering to brand guidelines.
- Conduct routine inspections of hotel facilities to ensure compliance with cleanliness, safety, and maintenance standards, taking corrective actions as needed.
- Assist in the development and implementation of operational policies and procedures to augment efficiency and effectiveness while ensuring compliance with regulatory mandates.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is required.
- Previous experience in hotel operations management or a related hospitality management role is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff at all levels.
- Exceptional organizational and time management abilities, with a knack for prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and hotel management software.
- In-depth knowledge of hotel operations, industry trends, and best practices.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as necessitated by operational requirements.
