Mission and Objectives: UNFPA, the United Nations Population Fund, focuses on promoting gender equality, reproductive health, and youth empowerment. In Ukraine, UNFPA works on various initiatives, including combating gender stereotypes, providing sexual and reproductive health services, and supporting survivors of gender-based violence. The mission of this assignment is to deliver effective support to local and internally displaced young people, with a focus on addressing humanitarian needs and providing essential services.
Task Description:
- Conduct surveys, interviews, and focus group discussions to gather information on humanitarian needs, particularly focusing on youth.
- Liaise with regional authorities to coordinate efforts and gather data on needs assessment.
- Assist in providing support to local and internally displaced young people, including referral and facilitating access to specialized services.
- Ensure effective implementation, monitoring, and reporting of project activities.
- Conduct regular awareness-raising activities to reach vulnerable communities.
- Ensure visibility of UNFPA's products and services.
Results/Expected Outputs:
- Effective support provided to local youth and young IDPs.
- Application of Age, Gender, and Diversity (AGD) perspective in all activities.
- Prepare a final statement of achievements highlighting contributions to volunteerism and development.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age: 18 - 80
- Nationality: Candidate must be a national or legal resident of Ukraine.
- Required Experience: No experience required
- Area(s) of Expertise: Community development
- Languages: Fluent in Ukrainian
Entitlements:
- Volunteer Living Allowance (VLA) provided monthly to cover living expenses.
