Job Description:
Job Overview: The Extended Case Management Caseworker offers trauma-informed services to refugees, asylees, and other eligible clients upon their displacement and entry/parole into the United States. Collaborating closely with clients, colleagues, and external entities, the caseworker develops tailored service and self-sufficiency plans, leveraging a wide array of financial, medical, social, vocational, and other resources in alignment with client eligibility and program criteria.
Major Responsibilities:
- Conduct intake services to assess client needs and develop customized self-sufficiency plans.
- Provide individualized support through direct services, referrals, and advocacy.
- Monitor client progress towards established goals and address challenges, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
- Maintain detailed records of client interactions and assist with tracking and reporting as necessary.
- Cultivate effective relationships with coworkers, partner organizations, and service providers.
- Utilize personal, insured transportation for client transportation and material conveyance.
- May oversee the training and activities of volunteers and interns.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in social work or related field preferred.
Work Experience:
- Relevant professional experience in human services field required; minimum of 2 years strongly preferred.
- Experience with refugee and/or immigrant populations strongly preferred.
Demonstrated Skills & Competencies:
- Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, and networking skills.
- Proven success in multi-cultural communication and collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in English; fluency in Ukrainian highly desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and internet-based research tools.
- Valid driver's license and access to personal, insured vehicle.
Working Environment:
- Combination of standard office, remote work, and field time within the service delivery area.
- Occasional weekend and/or evening work may be required.
Compensation: Posted pay ranges apply to US-based candidates and are calibrated based on various factors including labor market dynamics, job type, internal equity, and budget considerations.
