Role Overview:
As a Health and Nutrition Professional in Djibouti, you will provide technical, operational, and administrative support throughout the programming process, focusing on health and nutrition projects within the national program. Working closely with the Health and Nutrition programs at the central level, you will facilitate program implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and result communication.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and planning of health and nutrition programs.
  • Manage programs, monitor progress, and ensure results are achieved.
  • Provide technical and operational support for program implementation.
  • Build networks and partnerships to enhance program effectiveness.
  • Foster innovation, knowledge management, and capacity building initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Education: University degree in nutrition, public health, epidemiology, global/international health and nutrition, health or nutrition research, policy, or management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of two years of professional experience in a developing African country in nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management, or maternal, infant, and child health and nutrition.
  • Language: Proficiency in French is required.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Experience in developing health and nutrition programs/projects within a UN agency or organization is an asset.
  • Knowledge of another UN official language or local language is advantageous.
