Background:
As part of its 2021-2025 Country Programme Document (CPD), UNICEF is committed to supporting adolescent development, participation, and engagement. The Adolescent Development (ADAP) Intern will contribute to youth programs, skill development activities, and sector meetings, fostering creativity and empowerment among adolescents and young people.
Deliverables:
- Support youth participation, engagement, and skill development programs.
- Assist in information management and reporting activities.
- Contribute to report and program document preparation.
- Undertake regular field visits to gather information and report on challenges.
- Contribute to Southeast Youth Task Team meetings and mapping of youth services.
Qualifications:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. degree program, or graduated within the past two years (applicants must be at least 18 years old), preferably in psychology, social work, child development, sociology, education, or a relevant field.
- Fluent in English, with strong writing skills. Proficiency in another official UN language is desirable.
- Demonstrated excellent academic performance.
- Past experience in related fields is advantageous.
Modality:
The internship is on-site and full-time, based in Gaziantep.
Stipend and Insurance:
Interns will receive a nominal stipend per month according to UNICEF's guidelines. Health/accident insurance is required, with costs borne by the intern.
