 Job Title: Intern - Emergency Support

Purpose:
UNICEF is implementing its 2021-2025 Country Programme Document in Türkiye, focusing on supporting community-based entities in the Southeast to deliver services for vulnerable children and families. The intern will provide operational support to partnerships with local government entities, including Municipalities, and gain fieldwork experience in various service areas such as child protection, education, and WASH.

Responsibilities:

  • Follow up on supply delivery and monitoring activities with partners, documenting progress.
  • Attend meetings, record minutes, and maintain/update trackers and documents.
  • Assist in designing and preparing monitoring activities for assigned programs.
  • Conduct field visits for program monitoring and gather assessment data.
  • Assist partners with progress report submissions and conduct initial reviews.
  • Gather information to document good practices and new program approaches.
  • Support in organizing technical trainings for UNICEF partners.

Qualifications and Skills Required:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or Ph.D. program or graduated within the past two years in relevant fields.
  • Fluent in English with strong writing skills; fluency in another UN official language is an asset.
  • Excellent academic performance demonstrated by recent university records.
  • Past experience in related fields will be considered.

Supervisor: Emergency Officer

Modality: On-site and full-time

Stipend: Interns will receive a nominal stipend per month in accordance with UNICEF's guidelines.

Insurance: Interns are responsible for costs arising from accidents or illness and must provide proof of enrollment in a health/accident plan.
