Scope of Work:
As a Consultant in Nutrition Advocacy and Communication, you will support the development and implementation of advocacy and communication strategies to advance nutrition initiatives in the Philippines. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure consistent messaging, coordination, and impactful communication efforts.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Nutrition Team to develop and finalize an Advocacy and Communication Plan.
  • Provide technical support for the implementation of communication and advocacy strategies.
  • Update and popularize key statistics, messages, and evidence.
  • Produce compelling communication materials for various audiences.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders for effective advocacy activations.
  • Monitor public sentiment and respond to emerging issues.
  • Assist in advancing immunization goals during emergencies.

Deliverables:

  • Finalized UNICEF PCO Advocacy and Communication Plan (June 2024 - December 2025).
  • Technical support for the implementation of the Nutrition Communication and Advocacy Plan.
  • Updated PMNP Visibility and Communications Plan.
  • Identified advocacy strategy, milestones, and media moments.
  • Communication products targeting key stakeholders, decision-makers, media, caregivers, and the public.
  • Regular internal briefings and coordination meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Education/Experience: Postgraduate degree with 2 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience in advocacy, communication, public health, or related fields.
  • Skills/Knowledge: Strong understanding of advocacy environments, digital media, and communication strategies. Experience in event coordination and media engagement is essential.
  • Language: Fluency in English and knowledge of the relevant local language is an asset.
