Position Title: Defense Health Network (DHN) Nurse Consultant and Subject Matter Expert (JSME) on Medical Management (MM)
Duties:
Interdisciplinary Integration: Serve as the DHN Nurse Consultant and Subject Matter Expert (JSME) on Medical Management (MM) to integrate interdisciplinary military healthcare for the Network.
Professional Expertise: Provide professional knowledge and technical expertise to integrate facets of care for eligible beneficiaries, ensuring evidence-based, patient-centered care to optimize allocation of scarce medical resources.
Policy Development: Develop DHN policy, programs, and guidelines for MM utilizing basic nursing and business protocols.
Collaboration: Collaborate and consult with the DHN Assistant Director for Medical Affairs, DHN Assistant Director for Healthcare Operations, and Medical Treatment Facility (MTF) MM Leads on all issues concerning MM components.
Supervision: Provide direct and indirect supervision/guidance to contract and government employees as required. Responsible for supporting the conduct of/input for evaluations per set requirements.

Obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access.
Undergo background investigation and credit check.
Possess an appropriate, valid driver’s license.
Be willing to travel locally or overnight.
May be subject to suitability or fitness determination.
Consent to seasonal influenza vaccinations or provide recognized exemption.
Immunization screening may be required.
Must meet additional requirements communicated during the hiring process.
Qualifications:
Basic Requirement: A graduate or higher-level degree from an accredited nursing educational program, along with current, active, full, and unrestricted nursing license or registration.
Experience: One or more full years of professional nursing experience, including compiling and analyzing information for studies and reports, conducting literature research, and developing policy, programs, and guidelines for Medical Management.
