To provide support to an experienced plumber in constructing, setting up, installing, and repairing plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment. This role involves utilizing both plumber's hand tools and power tools while adhering strictly to local building regulations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Utilize various tools to cut pipes, including hacksaws, pipe cutters, hammers and chisels, cutting torches, and pipe cutting machines.
  • Create threads on pipes using threading machines.
  • Bend pipes manually or with the aid of a pipe-bending machine.
  • Assemble and fit a range of metal and non-metal pipes and pipe fittings, made from materials such as brass, copper, lead, glass, and plastic.
  • Install prefabricated items like sinks, faucets, and showers.
  • Connect piping via threaded, caulked, wiped, soldered, brazed, fused, or cemented joints.
  • Fix pipes to structures using clamps, brackets, and hangers, employing hand tools.
  • Conduct tests on the plumbing system to check for leaks by increasing pressure in pipes and monitoring gauges for any leak indications.
  • Understand and follow directions, plans, and blueprints accurately.
  • Set up scaffolding and ladders necessary for tasks performed above ground level.
