Position Title: Team Lead, Banking Operations
The Team Lead, Banking Operations, assumes responsibility for the day-to-day management of a small team within Banking Operations, situated in both Chicago and Tempe. Our Banking Operations team oversees transaction processing, document management, new business opening, and account documentation review. Additionally, the successful candidate provides ongoing support to our internal clients.
Major Duties:
- Oversee day-to-day management responsibilities for a small team or sub-team within Banking Operations.
- Provide support to Regulatory and Legal support teams and front office functions.
- Conduct performance management, career development processes, and manage staffing and disciplinary actions.
- Execute complex activities with significant financial, client, and/or internal business impact.
- Facilitate direct interaction with committees and/or Senior Management.
- Organize team workflow, assign tasks, set short-term priorities, monitor activities, and ensure timely and accurate completion of work.
- Demonstrate leadership and organizational skills to prioritize assignments and provide feedback to staff.
- Provide training, conduct performance management and career development processes, and manage staffing and disciplinary actions.
- Offer input and support to the budget management process.
- Manage own workload/projects and ensure adequate coverage of all tasks within the team.
- Identify and train partners as necessary to maintain task coverage.
Experience:
- A College or University degree with proven Banking Operations work experience preferred. Related Industry qualification (e.g., ACCA) is a plus.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
- In-depth Banking Knowledge is required.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial.
- Leadership and organizational skills to develop periodic goals and manage and motivate team members are necessary.
- Excellent influencing and negotiation skills are required.
- Highly flexible and adaptable to change.
